6.3.2 Partition List and Menus

When you select to Add or Edit a partition from the System SubMenu, a list of partitions dis-

plays. Choose the partition you want to edit or select Add to create a new partition. Once you

select Add or Edit, a screen displays the partition options menu system. The subsections that

follow describe these options in detail.

6.3.2.1 Partition Options Screen

Option Description Default

Partition Name Enter up to 16 characters to name or describe the partition you are

adding. When you choose to add a new or edit an existing partition,

the partition options screen (see below) displays.

Automatic Disarm on Door

Access

If enabled, all areas within the partition that the user has access to will

automatically disarm when door access is granted to a valid user. The

option is available only for users who have the ability to disarm.

Delayed Zones Instant on

Intrusion

If this option is enabled, all exit and entry delayed zones will be instant

whenever an alarm occurs in an intrusion zone. This will not occur for

other types of zones.

Interior Zones Active on In-

trusion

If this option is enabled, all interior zones will activate automatically

whenever an intrusion alarm occurs in an intrusion zone. This will not

occur for other types of zones.

Interior and Delay States

Locked when Armed

If this option is enabled, users must disarm the system if they want to

change the interior and delay states. Typically used to prevent unau-

thorized persons from deactivating interiors when the system is

armed.

Unbypass on Disarm If this option is enabled, any zones that were bypassed since the last

disarming period will be unbypassed (reinstated) when the system is

disarmed. The unbypassing operation will not occur if it would cause

an alarm or trouble.

This feature prevents users from leaving a zone bypassed indefinitely

if they forget that a zone was bypassed temporarily for a special situ-

ation.

on Disarm

If this option is enabled, interior zones assigned to areas within this

partition are deactivated when the areas are disarmed.

Activate Interior Zones on

Arm

If this option is enabled, interior zones assigned to areas within this

partition are automatically activated when the areas are armed.
