Mode Within / Mode
Outside
These two options are for determining how the system will
respond to door access requests that occur within the time
schedule (mode within) and outside the time schedule (mode
outside). These options apply only to Model 4860C and 4421
Touchpads when used for door access. Options are:
Code or Card
Code or Card Users can use a card or a code to gain
access.
Code only Only codes will open the door.
Card only Only a card will open the door.
High security Both a card and a code are required for
access.
Area Assignment Select the areas which will be displayed by this Touchpad. Only
areas in this partition will be available to select. Users are assigned
to areas through their user profiles.
Area 1
Enable Door Held Open When a door is accessed, the door is allowed to remain open for
the “Door Held Open Timer” period. If the door is held open
longer than the allowed time, the “Door Held Open” event is
generated for the Door Monitor Zone ID.
Note: A report can be sent to central station if selected to do
so in Reporting Accounts (see Section 6.3.2.4).

Entry beep on PZT Select this option if you want a short (250 millisecond) beep to
sound on the Touchpad as the entry delay counts down seconds to
alarm.

Exit Beep on PZT Select this option if you want a short (250 millisecond) beep to
sound on the Touchpad as the exit delay counts down seconds to
arm.
Enabled
Auto Arm Beep on PZT Select this option if you want a 750 millisecond beep to sound
every 10 seconds as the auto arm delay counts down.
Disabled
Chime Beep on PZT Select this option if you want a chime or doorbell (or chime and
doorbell) sound to occur at the Touchpad when chime or doorbell
zones are activated. Chime tones will sound only if the zone is
disarmed.

From the Touchpads/CardReaders menu, you can choose to “Edit
Panic Keys” or “Edit Input Zones.”
